About

Welcome folks,

First of all, let me and my partner in crime, Sarah, thank you for visiting us.

We’re fans and supporters of locally owned Middle TN restaurants, and love searching out places most people just drive right by.  Whether it’s Middle Eastern, Meat & 3, or new southern cuisine, hopefully we’ll give you some ideas when others think their only options are Chili’s or O’Charley’s.  We also hope you’ll join us as we write about our travels, which often involves some good eating at well.  We’ve found that eating well on vacation isn’t as hard as it sometimes seems.

We are not professionals.  We just love food.  You’ll never see a negative restaurant review on this blog.  Our mission is to tell you about the good places we have eaten.  Does this mean we don’t have bad dining experiences?  No.  We just choose not to write about them.

And as always, don’t be afraid to comment with your own thoughts or critiques, we’re open minded and always looking for something new to chew on!

    Good stuff guys.
Positive only is a plus, and previous knowledge of at least one of the bloggers tells me “nothing but good food” will appear on this one,

    Hi guys,

I’m coming to Nashville for business in late July, and I’m not one for flying across the country to go eat at some franchise. I love food, love traveling and exploring the true local flavors. I have never been to Nashville before, so I hope you don’t mind me using your blog to help navigate some good options, but with just two nights in town, I could use some suggestions.

    Cheers,

Hi Dyarza! It depends on what you are looking for. If you are interested in a great Southern meat and three, try Southern Bred. Nashville is known for its hot chicken and one of the best places is Prince’s Hot Chicken Shack. If you are interested in upscale, try Cabana or Boundry. If you like Greek food, the Athen’s Family Restaurant is great. If there is something specific you are looking for let us know!

    Cool!

Thanks Sarah, that is what I am after. I like finding out what a place is known for and exploring it, so I guess hot chicken it will have to be. Then again, it is business, so one night will have to be a bit more upscale.

    Thanks so much!
